Boundary Wall and Entry

Agency: Works Progress Administration

Date: 1936-1937

Coordinates: 29.461114537, -98.467045013

A low stone wall was constructed in front of the Witte Museum Campus between 1936 and 1937. The wall extends the length of the property with curved wing walls at Tuleta Drive on the south and Gunn Drive on the north. A low bench is built into the wall, presumably for bus patrons. Labor for construction of the wall was provided by the museum and the Work Projects Administration.
